Can I just
Hi friends. Happy Friday. Hey, I just wanted to come on and talk to you. I was on a walk this morning and, um, I was just feeling so much gratitude, um, gratitude for my body that I was able to be out walking. Um, I was thinking about when I weighed 200 pounds and really was feeling. Tired. Right. Like tired of being tired, tired of hating myself.
Right. Tired. Just tired of life in general. And I, I remember it was like, kind of at that point where it was like, something’s got to change, like something, I’ve gotta figure this out. Like, I don’t know what to do, but something has to change and it kind of came to me that. you know, dwelling on losing 30, 40, 50, 60 pounds.
It was very overwhelming for me. And it kept me stuck. Like it was like, why even bother that’s too much. And I was like, well, let’s just change that. Right. So I started asking myself, can I just right. And the first thing was, can I just walk for 15? And asking myself that I was like, yeah, I, I think I can, I think I can walk for 15 minutes, so sure enough, I went and got my shoes on and I walked around the block.
Okay. And then I was just like, okay, can I just do that three times this week? And sure enough, I was able to do that. And then the next week I was like, okay, what’s something else. Like, can I just, and you know, can I just leave a couple bites on my. Right. Like that didn’t seem too hard and sure enough, I was able to do that.
So that is a question that really transformed me from a person who was tired of life into somebody that was willing to try new things, willing to participate in my life. And I still use that question today still. It’s like, can I walk one more block? Can I walk for 10 more? Right. Can I drink another glass of water?
And it helps me so much. So I just wanted to offer that to you as maybe like a stepping stone for you guys to get going on your weight loss journey. So I’d love if you leave in the comments, you know, what is one small change that you can work on this week? Maybe this weekend? Um, that’s gonna get you closer to your goal, right?
Like, let’s get out of the overwhelm of thinking about the big picture and like, just ask yourself, can I just. Right. And it just, it flips, flips something in your brain to get you just a little bit more motivated to keep trying new things and small changes add up. Right. They build up over time. They get you so much closer to your goal.
Listen, I went from, can I just walk 15 minutes to eventually I ran a. Like never, ever would’ve thought that and it all started with, can I just, so give it a try and let me know how it goes. Leave, leave, uh, what you’re gonna do in the comments. All right guys. Thanks.
